🌩️ Honda Shadow 750 Weight Limit
THe 600 is a 4 speed and the 750 is a 5 speed. I got about 48-49 with my Spirit 750. It'll run 80-85, but it doesn't feel real good at that speed. It might be more me than the bike, but I like hanging around 70-75 if the conditions are favorable. I have a riding buddy that has a 600.
So, bottom line, adding a 5 th gear to a Honda Shadow VT600 is a waste of time. 4-speed transmission – why it works. Here’s the thing with 4 speed transmission design: it works. Even though other models may have 5 speeds, the Honda Shadow VLX600 is only a few hundred RPMs lower than a stock Honda Shadow VT750.
I want to take another rider with me on a road trip to Galveston, Texas. I don't want to hit the incline and start to drag behind traffic.
The 750 (comparatively) has no power. It was the pits at almost any speed and quickly ran out of guts at highway speed. It is very cheaply made and feels like a very small bike. While the 900 looks and feels like a more substantial bike, it is remarkably easy to ride and far more capable in every aspect.

The manual says the maximum weight capacity is 370 pounds (rider, passenger, cargo and accessories) Now, I take up a pretty good chunk of that weight all by myself (I am 300 pounds) Now if I put my honey on back we are over the limit.
3 out of 5 (3/5) The Honda VT600 Shadow's engine is soft, soft, soft. Detuned, three-valve, liquid-cooled shaft drive V-twin is about as unthreatening as a 600cc motorcycle engine gets. That said
7. Honda Shadow Won’t Rev Up. Honda Shadow models will have issues revving up if there’s blockage interrupting the airflow or if there’s a vacuum leak. The carburetor Shadows uses is a high-velocity carburetor; air intake is what lifts the linage and causes the revving instead of the carburetor slides.

Last year it introduced the Shadow Spirit, an updated version of the original Shadow 1100. The Spirit uses two offset crankpins to balance the 45-degree twin's power strokes, eliminating most of the vibration. This year Honda introduced the Aero, a variation of the best-selling Shadow American Classic Edition (A.C.E.), which returns to the line.
